この本に出会ったのは、建築を勉強していた学生の頃です。

最初に目を引くのは、メキシコのソウルカラーであるピンクをはじめ、鮮やかな壁面の色なのですが、それとは反対に、この写真集からは、謙虚さをものすごく感じます。家主の一人が、「この家では毎日発見がある。」と語っているように、写真のひとつひとつを見ていると、建築がどうだということよりも、「自分がここにいたらどんな気分になるんだろう」ということを考えてしまいます。三宅一生さんをはじめ、著名人多数訪れているみたいですね。
