掲載誌をチェックしていなかったのですが、今回も意表をついた舞台設定です。
酋長、いつもステキな作品をありがとうございます。

中世ヨーロッパ。
巡礼へ向かう修道士には人には言えない秘密があった。
「こんなにもやさしいのに　何故　そんなに冷たい目をしておられるのか…」
ある老人は修道士へ言った。「あんたは　神様ではなく　人間を求めて旅を始めた人なんだろうな」

凍てついた心を持つ修道士は、ある騎士と出会います。
出会った印象は最悪だった二人ですが、お互いのいろいろな一面を見て心を通わせていきます。
修道士・騎士、どちらの目線で読んでも心が温かくなります。

人間味にあふれた騎士が見せる姿が、すごくいいんです。
騎士に魅せられていく修道士が、またいいんです。
二人の人生に幸あれ、と願わずにはいられません。

読めば読むほど味のある、西田東先生のお話。
読まないのはもったいなさすぎます。ぜひご一読くださいませ。

　いや、いまさらですが、ほんっとにすごい作家さんですよね。1冊も欠かさず買ってますが、はずれなしです。セクシャリティの1つだと思っているので、別にフォモに精神性求めてる訳じゃないけど、魂の惹かれあう様の描き方はほんとにうまい方だなと思います。今回の「ラブストーリー」もステキでした。タイトルは「照れ」ですかね。騎士×姫でもなく、騎士×王子でもなく、騎士×修道士っつーのが西田様らしくてスキ。「パラダイス−」の方はつり橋効果？と思いつつも、オヤジ登場なのでもう無条件に大好き。ああっほんとに好きだなあ。西田様幸せな時間をありがとう。

毎回この人の話はいいですなぁ…今回も、素晴らしい。
中世の時代もの…というのは縛りを厳しくした結果だと思いますが、その展開が素晴らしい。
何かを求めるあまり他人の気持ちに鈍感になってしまった騎士と、大きな秘密を抱えながら、自分からそれを捨てることも、求めることも出来ない巡礼の僧侶との、関係がじりじり近づく描写が秀逸です。互いが互いを「見る」という行為だけで、ここまで感情を示せるのか…と思うと、もう震えが来ますな…！！！
回りの人の使い方もシンプルなのに非常に効果的で、最後の最後のカタルシスがもう…！
凄い。

同時収録のもう一本も大変いい話でした。無人島話としては大変ガチンコ展開なんですが、そのネタの使い方がまた素晴らしい。この人の書くオヤジは何故こんなにいいんでしょうか…www
あとがきがないのが物足りないとか思ってしまうのが相当毒されている気もします（笑）。
人に薦めたいけどあんまりメジャーになるのももったいない気がする稀有な作家さんです。
