計ってみたが、映像が大体2〜4秒おき、全20曲終了まで絶えず目まぐるしく切り替わる。 ライヴ物には大概そういった作品は多いが、問題はライヴの華たるギターソロなどまるでお構いなし。ソロ中にも関わらず関係無い箇所へコロコロやたらとカメラが切り替わり過ぎる事だ。

手元を2秒映したと思えば背後から2秒。遠めから3秒。ベースを2秒。 見せ場の早弾きパートにはドラムを2秒。サイドギターを3秒。横から2秒。背後から2秒。観客を2秒。 終盤のスローパートでやっとベストアングルに戻ったと思いきや遠めから3秒。 どうでも良い箇所で手元を4秒…。 終始こんな具合‥。

目まぐるしくやたらと映像を切り替えれば臨場感が増すだろうという単細胞的発想、思い切り勘違い阿呆編集マンの見本たる作品。

g&voのD・メニケッティは、その渋い歌声もさる事ながらギターの腕にも定評がある。
昨今多いライトハンドの様なトリッキーな派手さはないが、その分しっかりとしたフィンガリングで観客を引き付ける。まさに正統実力派プレイヤーだ。 上手い。

私自身ギターマンなので尚更その点を期待していたのだが、 消化不良度増大、目が疲れるだけで大期待外れだった…。

パッケージには他にボーナスDVD&CDが付属しているが(計3枚) 特にレア度も感じられず、値段が値段なだけに、むしろそれらをカットして半額以下で発売して欲しかった。 無論中身がこうと知っていれば買うはずもないのだが‥。

しかしそれらの点が仮にクリアされていたとしても、☆3。
明らかにメニケッティはパワーが落ちた。 年齢的にそれは致し方ないが、息切れして歌う姿は痛々しい。


「Y&Tを観られたら良い。」
「スライドショーが好きだ」
