特殊部隊・強行突入ミリタリーアクションゲーム「レインボーシックス」と追加シナリオ「イーグルウォッチ」のセット。「レインボーシックス」は、対テロ集団・特殊部隊強行突入を完全再現し、大使館などの要人、人質救出、爆弾解除、盗聴器の設置、テロリスト逃亡の妨害などのテロに対し、それぞれの任務を遂行(インドア戦もあり)していく。「イーグルウォッチ」は、隊員のチーム編成や彼らの装備、突入経路を決定した後は、各チームに間接的な指示しか出すことのできない「フルウォッチモード」を搭載。ほか、世界の有名スポットを舞台にした5つのミッション、50径デザートイーグルなど3つの武器、2つのトレーニングレベル、個性的な4人の隊員を用意。

レインボーシックスは今日本でも流行のFPSの中でも類を見ないほど
完成度の高いゲームとなっています。

架空の特殊部隊レインボーの一員となり、数々のミッションをクリアしていくのがゲームの目的です。ミッションは人質救出が主ですが、そのほかに数々のモードが多数用意されているので飽きることがありません。その上敵のモーションはかなりリアルになっており、目を見張るものがあります。

ミッション開始前のプランニングもこのゲームには大きな役割を持っています。各チームの行動をプレイヤーが決めていくのです。
強行ルート、タイミング、待機などを決めてからミッションに移ります。大変リアル思考のレインボーシックスは、テロリストが発砲した弾丸に当たってしまうとほぼ一発で死んでしまいます。

このあたりがリアル系の特徴で、緊張感も他のFPSと比べると比にならないくらい高いのです。
ただ少々古いゲームなのでグラフィック的には弱いかもしれませんが、ゲームシステムや緊張感は超一級品です。
