W.A.モーツァルトの末息子クサヴァー・モーツァルトは1791年,モーツァルトの最晩年に生まれた。彼はシューベルトやショパンと同じ19世紀前半に活躍した作曲家だ。今一歩ロマン派になりきれない保守的な音楽という感じだが,興味深いCDではある。

実は、このＣＤの内容は、ＮＨＫ・ＦＭで聞きました。現物は売られていないので、悔しい限りです。作品はモーツアルトの息子フランツの作品で、どの楽曲も憂愁に満ちたすばらしいもので、前島さんの演奏も十分抑制の効いた、それでいて胸に迫ってくる感動作です。フランツの残された作品は数少なく、全部聞いてみたくなるのですが､如何せん、演奏された数が少なく､外国のサイトをのぞいてみても、ＣＤになっているものは十指に満たない稀少品です。このＣＤもぜひ再発売をしていただきたいと思います。

実はこのＣＤは、ＮＨＫ・ＦＭで聞きました。それ以来このＣＤを求めて幾山河。やっとここにたどり着いたら、絶版の様子。なんとか再発売をお願いしたいところです。父親アマデウスがあまりに偉大だったため軽んじられてきた彼ですが、この作品群は､憂愁に満ちたすばらしい出来で、前島さんの演奏も情感あふれながらも、抑制の効いた秀作です。
