阿部和重がこんなにストーリーテーラーだったとはと。といのが第一印象。
驚きの小説です。昔からの阿部ファンには賛否両論分かれそうな
内容ですが、グランドフィナーレにあった優しさみたいな部分が本書では満開な気がしました。途中からスパイ小説の様な感じですが、ある意味ひとつの夢。
ひねくれ男が見た一夜の夢の中の出来事のような感じかな。。
個人的にはたくさんの人に読んでほしいです。感動するもよし、阿部さんの作風が変わった？と思うもよし。映画１本見るよりこちらを是非！
(最初はどうして今こういう小説なんだろうと思いましたが,あまり深く考えない方がいいのかもしれませんね。）

　ストーリーはヘンテコだがわかりやすく、読みやすい作品。後半は何度か吹き出してしまうような可笑しさ（自称ポルトガル人のマヌエルだとか、スーツ型核爆弾を受け取ってしまった主人公が本気でうろたえている所だとか）があって面白かった。
　しかし、それにしても阿部和重という作家がこういう作品を書くと、何となくその意図を深読みしたくなってしまう。それとも発表形式も雑誌連載という形ではないし、このヘンさは作者の遊び心というものだったのだろうか。
　私は、「純粋な少女」「自己犠牲」「世界の破滅の危機」だとか幾つかのサブカル的なポイントを意識的に配置して、一種スカスカした感動ストーリーを作り出す、というような作者の悪意も含んだ意図すら感じられるような気がする。あるいは、語り手の老人が語っているのは舞台の２０１１年よりもさらに何十年も後の日本であるはずだから、「未来のリアリティー」というのはこういうもので、現在の私たちには一種の違和感を与えるものなのだ、ということなのかもしれない。ともかく、私はこの物語を真面目に受け取ることはできなかった。
　しかし、やはりあっという間に読み終わるくらいに面白かったから、あまり野暮な詮索はやめた方が良いのかもしれない。

敬愛する作家の最新作。本書も物語としても良質であります。日常の生活感から物語は広がり、やがて大きな世界へと繋がっていく。本書の主人公のシオリとその大きな世界との繋がりは誰も知らない。結果をしったストーリテラーが独りいるだけだ。しかしながら本書のシオリの日常の描写はつらさ、悲しさが切実にせまってくる。後半の物語とのギャップが凄い。日常から、非日常。日常の感覚は我々も生活しているので本当にこんなことがあったら辛いだろうなーという感覚を共有できるが、後半の世界観はまるで棒高跳びで日常を超えてきた感覚に襲われる。しかしながらその感覚は「無理だろ」というものではなく、「しっくり」くるものである。破綻していないのである。その大きな世界観は彼独特のものである。他のレビューでもあったが、本書は凄く「読みやすい」。その分だけ彼の世界観を知りたい人の「入門書」となりえる書であると思う。今日は山形県天童市でサイン会。あー楽しみ。
