「直球勝負」このアルバムを例えて言うのならこの言葉だと思う。
下手に小細工をしていない、ただまっすぐに聴いているひとたちの心に入り込んでくる。
ときに歯切れの良いテンポで、ときにコミカルだけど優しく。

アルト・サキソフォンを使うミュ-ジシャンの中では、キャノンボ-ル・アダレイが一番だと思うそして輝いているのは、この「マーシー・マーシー・マーシー」
のライブ・アルバムだと思う。

キャノンボールの傑作の一枚。とにかく表題曲はリズム感もよく、覚えやすい美しいメロディーだ。キャノンボールの兄のナット・アダレイ（コルネット）もいい味を出している。キャノンボールの珠玉のライヴ盤。Ｂ級プレイヤーこ渾身のＡ級盤(松本敏之）
