ポケモンキャラクターが満載。
進化の様子からタイプ特性、キャラクター解説、得意技などが紹介されています。　最後についている「高さベスト５」、「小さいベスト５」、「重いベスト５」、「軽いベスト５」を知っていると、ちょっと得意になれるかも。

あいうえお順に載っているのも、見易さの一つです。　これと一緒に、「パール　公式図鑑完成ガイド」を購入したのですが、こちらは、ゲームをする人に必要な本。

「ポケモン全キャラ」の本は、ゲームをしない人や外国でも楽しめる一冊だと思います。　我が家の子供達が住む地域は、テレビゲームはしませんが、カードの交換が盛んです。そんな訳で、キャラクター紹介の載ったこの本は、低学年の子供たちが十分楽しめます。漢字に全部振り仮名がふってあるので、１人で読むことも出来るのが良いですね。　　
掲載内容を知っていたら、こちらの本だけを買っていたことでしょう。
　
ゲームの攻略本ではなくて、キャラクター紹介の満載本を探している方には、お勧めです。

公式で公開されているギラティナの新フォルムとシェイミを含め、ポケモン
492匹のイラストと、そのポケモン1匹1匹の解説、最後に
オーキド博士とニャースがそのポケモンに関してのコメントをしてくれます。
あいうえお順に解説され、タイプ、特性、高さ重さ図鑑ナンバー等も。
イラストはポケモン1匹につき最低2枚、多くて5枚程度の数の、横姿や後ろ姿その他
様々なポーズで、初見の公式絵が多数を占めており、解説も初めて聞いたものも多く、
とても興味深い内容でした。

ただし何より子供向けの文章ですので、読み物としては少し難がありますし、
原作の攻略、対戦等では殆どの場合は普通の全国図鑑で事足りてしまいます。
しかしポケモンファンなら買っても損はしないかと。

購入した決め手は上下巻の本ではなく、1冊にポケモンがまとまっているからです。
愛読者は5歳の息子ですが、ここ数ヶ月毎日読んでボロボロになってきてます！
索引はあいうえお順なので、最初はちんぷんかんぷんみたいでしたが、
それも覚えてきてるし、重さや高さもわかりやすく書いてあるので、
みんな暗記したりしてすごーい大活躍です＾＾
レイアウトも見やすいし、ニャースと博士の解説もあったり、
とっても楽しい1冊でオススメです！
