私の大学の教科書指定であるが、世界的にも教科書として利用されている有名な本であるらしい。
本自体は色鮮やかで見ていて飽きない。
有機化学を好んで学ぶ方にとっては読んでいて苦痛にならないだろう。
ハイライトが章の所々に散りばめられていて、その内容が興味深く面白い。
しかし、章末問題の答えが「問題の解き方」として別売されていることと、この本自体が非常に大きくて重たいので、持ち運ぶには都合が悪い。
この点において星１減点しておいた。

日本語訳で発売されている「ボルハルト・ショアー有機化学（上）（下）」の原書です。しかし，訳書は3rd Editionの訳ですが，この本は4th Editionなので最新版です。有機化学を本気で学ぶ人には良いと思います。
