紹介(「丸紅インフォテック」データベースより)

「TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress」、「TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0」、「TMPGEnc DVD Author 2.0」の3ソフトウェアそれぞれのEasy Editionをセットにし、さらにドルビーデジタルデコード/エンコード機能も搭載した高性能DVD-Video作成セット。この1本で、様々な素材形式から手軽にメニュー付きの高画質なDVDを作成することができる。本製品専用の作業目的別の起動ボタンを設定しており、目的の作業を選べば適切なソフトが起動するので、初心者でも安心。無圧縮AVIをはじめ、TVキャプチャーしたMPEGファイルや、家庭用DVDレコーダーで録画したDVD-Video/DVD-VRの読み込みに対応するほか、DVカメラで撮影し、PCに取り込んだAVI動画も高画質を保持したままDVDにすることが可能。さらに、Windows標準フォーマットである、WindowsMediaVideo(WMV)の読み込みにも対応している。また、±R二層DVDメディアの書き込みに対応しており、従来の4.7GBメディアをはじめ、最大8.5GBのDVD-Video出力にも対応する。そのほか、DVDメニューを簡単に作成できるメニューテンプレートや、ドルビーデジタル音声のデコード/エンコード機能も搭載(ドルビーデジタル入出力は2ch音声のみ対応)。

DVDレコーダー録画した映像ならばMPEG Editorで高速編集し、DVD AutherでDVDに焼く事が３０分〜１時間位できます。aviやｗｍｖなどのファイルも4.0 XPressで画質を維持したままMPEGに変換でき、DVD AutherでDVDに焼けます。4.0 XPressは変換に時間がかかりますが（３０分の映像で２時間前後）、高画質を維持するためには仕方のない事です。またインターネットによる認証が必要ないので、接続環境の無いパソコンでも使用できます。エンコードの正確さとエンコードにかかる時間、インターネット接続環境、電気代などを考えれば、間違いなくこのソフトはコストパフォーマンス最強でしょう。（エンコードにかかる時間は私のPCによるものですので、他のパソコンでは違う場合があります。）

これ一本あればDVDの作成で必要な機能は揃うんだけどEASY PACKだから機能に制限があります。初心者やあまりこだわりのない人なら安いのでオススメですが、それぞれの機能にこだわりたい人は単体でそれぞれのソフトを買ったほうが満足できると思います。

このソフト、デジタルビデオから（MiniDVテープから）、パソコンにデータを
取り込むキャプチャー機能がありません。
初心者対応なら、これ一本で取り込み（キャプチャー）からDVDに書き出しまで、
できるようにして欲しかった。
それができないなら、テープからのキャプチャーはできませんよ、
と初心者にもわかりやすく表示して欲しかった。
で、星マイナス1。
