5.0 out of 5 stars ルービンシュタインがベートーヴェン??という先入観が誤りだと痛感する名演奏！, 2008/5/9
　ルービンシュタインといったらショパンというイメージですが、このCDを聞いてそういったイメージは払拭されました．12カ国語を操り、多くの友人を引きつれて79才（wikpediaによる）まで現役で演奏活動を続けたというこの芸術家の凄味を感じました．天才は何をやってもスゴイ、当たり前のことかもしれません．
　ルービンシュタインのベートーヴェンを一言で言い表せば、「美しいベートーヴェン」です．例えば悲愴第一楽章graveの最後の高音部から低音部に至る速いパッセージ、ハッとさせられるほどの美しさがあります．作品全体を通じても嫌み・不自然さは全くなく録音状態も良好で、大変好感度の高い演奏を気持ちよく聞くことができます．多くの方に受け入れられる名演奏だと思います．晩年まで現役を続けられた理由が、彼が音楽家というよりも芸術家だったが所以だったのではないかと確信した次第です．
　個人的にはベートーヴェン弾きとしてのイチオシはギレリスですが、熱情に関して言えば、ここでのルービンシュタインの演奏が一番です．
　因みにCDジャケットもディスクのデザインも大変オシャレで、かつ内容も伴っていますので、もっていて大変満足度の高いCDです．バックハウスより圧倒的にお勧めです（バックハウス・ファンの方ごめんなさい）．

落ち着いた演奏という印象を持った。それはおそらく、美しく聴かせようとする心がそうさせているではないかと思う。技術をひけらかそうとか、派手な演奏で目立とうとか、そんな心は全く感じられない、感じのいい演奏だった。
