内容紹介
普通、新作というのは『前作より成長した』などと形容されることが多い。だが、この作品に関してはそんな表現はしない。と、いうよりそんな表現は似合わない。確かに声の厚みや説得力は増しているし、ギター技術もあがった…。だがそれより”初期にしか持ち得ない衝動” “後に再現しようとしても絶対に不可能な今この瞬間のsuzumokuをパッケージしたもの”と、表現したい。この作品は1st「コンセント」に収まりきらなかった初期suzumokuの続編であり、1st Albumの続きなのだ。 原点であるルーツミュージック(ラグタイム、ジャズ、アメリカン・フォーク…)を基調とし、前作と同様【suzumoku(Gt&Vo)、溝渕ケンイチロウ(Dr)、千ヶ崎学(B)】というシンプルな編成。感情剥き出しのメッセージを際立たせるような、荒削りのサウンド感を残している。 新しいもの、完璧なもの、洗練されたものだけが素晴らしいとは限らない。不器用で、荒削りのものだからこそ伝わる想い、だからこそ伝えられる人の心に真っ直ぐに響く楽曲…suzumokuの音楽とはそんな存在なのだ。
