リンプ・ビズキットやリンキン・パークなど、
その勢力が留まる事を知らない、
ミクスチャー系ヘヴィロック界において
草分け的存在の、３１１（スリーイレブン）と言うバンド。
あまり、世間的には知られていないであろうが、
アルバムを出す事に常にミリオンヒットを飛ばす
安心度100％のミクスチャーバンドなのである。
現にKORNやリンプ・ビズキッドもこのバンドの
前座を経験してから世界に旅だったのであるから
いかにスゴイバンドかがよくわかると思う。
このバンドは、まぁ、ヘヴィな音を基本にしてはいるものの、
ラップやレゲエやスカなどをふんだんに取り入れ
独特のメロディラインを持ち合わせながら、
３１１と言うジャンルを見事に確立させているのである。
こう言う手のバンドは他にゼブラヘッドや、
シュガーレイ、インキュバスあたりを連想してもらえれば良いのだが
本当に聴きやすく、ヘヴィな音も全く気にしないほどだ。
どちらかと言うと、割りとレゲエスタイルを意識してる
曲作りでもあるように見受うけられます。ちなみに、このアルバムは日本のファンの為に作られた
ベスト盤なのだが
とは言っても、先に申したようにどのアルバムを聞いても、
ハズレは無いので
どのアルバムから手を付けても結構です。間違いありません。

“ダウン”“カム・オリジナル”などのヒット曲を収めたバンド結成10周年記念シングル・コレクション('93~'99)。
“聴いているとなんだか幸せな気分にさせてくれる”３１１の音楽の特徴がよくわかる１枚！３１１入門CDとしてはピッタリだと思います。

ヴォーカルのニコラスの現在のオトナな歌声とはまた違った、チョット若い頃の声の微妙な変化を聴き比べられるのも楽しみのひとつ♪
