言わずと知れた名盤ですので、演奏内容については多くを語る必要はないと思いますが、今回の再発で初めて24bit/96KHzのリマスタリングが施されました。元テープのサウンドを可能な限り活かし、恣意的なイコライジングの類は行っていないとのことですが、それでも最新技術の効果はてきめんで、かなりの音質改善が認められます。少年合唱の高域のスーッとした抜け具合、低音の量感、質感などが旧盤よりかなり向上しており、若干ながらヒスノイズも低減しているように思えます。価格も手ごろですから、この演奏を愛する方は、この機に買い直してみてはいかがでしょうか。

「ヒーリング」といってアダージョ系統の曲ばかりをコレクションしたり、モーツァルトは情緒の安定に資する、などという音楽の利用を意識したことはないが、心洗われる作品と演奏があるとすれば、本作などはその筆頭にあげられるべきものと考える。
重厚で演奏時間も長いバッハのミサ曲や、おどろおどろしいモーツァルトの「レクイエム」とは異なり、まさに天上へ導かれるような美しい音楽がここにはある。
本当に疲れたときは、寝る以外のことはしたくないものだが、ＣＤを聴くだけのエネルギーがまだ残っていたら、本作が最高の安らぎを与えてくれるだろう。

~フォーレはクリュイタンスを最初、ある方から薦められて、それが定番なのかとずっと聴いておりましたが、また別の人物から、「フォーレのレクイエムはこれが一番いい」と言われて、それ以来交互に聴いておりますが、確かに「ボーイソプラノ」の素晴らしさ、を感じさせてくれる「大胆な作品」だと、僕自身は思っております。
まだ、聴いた事のない方は是非お~~聴き下さい。自分自身の耳で、「何が良いのか」を是非確かめていただくといいのでは…と思っております。~
