さらに1機ごとに登録番号・シリアルナンバーが存在しており、固有性の高い被写体です。そうだからこそ記録する観点からヒコーキは撮影の対象となってきました。

タイトルに"テクニック”とありますが、中身は旅客機と軍用機の写真集としても立派に通用すると思います。しかも多くの有名なプロカメラマンのショットなので、これだけでも価格の半分の価値はあります。撮影テクニックとしては、特にシャッター速度や絞り（どちらを優先するかなども含め）、ＩＳＯ値、ＷＢなどをおのおのシチュエーションによってどのように設定するのかなど、参考になります。もっともそれらを知っても同じように撮れるかどうかは別問題ですが。また、夜景撮影や構図のとり方（黄金比の活用）、主な空港や航空基地でのポジショニングなども参考になると思います。カメラの詳しい人から見ればある程度当たり前のことも多いと思いますが、入門／初級者にとっては指針になると思います。残念な点は、カメラのベンチマークに到底一般人には買えない超高級機しか載せていないことです。一般大衆をターゲットにしている本なので、せめて１０万円台の普及機でのベンチマークを載せてほしかった。なので、星４つです。
