　この本は、『クロワゼ』という、大人からバレエレッスンを始めた方向けの本で，ＶＯＬ３１号に掲載された「大人のバレエ用語集」の内容に、かなり加筆されたものとなっています。掲載されている「ｐａｓ」は、初心者向けの本によく紹介されている「プリエ」、「タンデュ」の他に、「イタリアン・フェッテ」、「ランベルセ」、「アントルシャ」、「フェッテ・アンテュールナン」など、私にできるかはともかく（笑）舞台や先生の見本では、速すぎて、どんな動きになっているのか目で追えなかったのが、静止の連続写真で説明とともに、掲載されており、とても、勉強になります。
また、舞台用語も、「アントレ」、「暗転」、「板付き」などについて、簡潔に説明されており、舞台経験者の方々にとっては、おそらく、当たり前の用語なのだと思いますが、私は全くの素人なので、、読んでいて新鮮で、面白かったです。
　「ｐａｓ」の掲載数そのものでは、Gretchen Ward Warren氏による「クラシック・バレエ・テクニック」には遠く及びませんが、この本のサイズは小さなカバンにも入る手帳サイズで、前述の「クラシック・バレエ・テクニック」と違い、ほとんどかさばりません。これは、荷物が多くなりがちなバレエ生徒にとって重宝すると思います。
　あと、「ｐａｓ」もフランス語の綴りとカタカナ、言葉のもともとの意味（例えばトンベ『tombe』は「落ちる」、前述のアントルシャ『entrechat』は「編む」など、言葉のイメージから「ｐａｓ」が覚えられるように、との配慮が感じられて、有難いです。
バレエが大好きな大人の方に、強くお勧めします。

本当にためになります。バレエのレッスン中、ｸﾞﾘｯｻﾞｰﾄﾞして次、ｼﾞｭﾃ、またｸﾞﾘｯｻﾞｰﾄﾞでｱｯｻﾝﾌﾞﾚしてください。はーなんのこっちゃー。と思っていたところ、訳すと「とこをすべるように、足を投げて、また、すべらせて、足を集めてください」ということが分かりました。練習中に「なんのこっちゃー」と思いつつ、質問できない方！ぜひお買い求めを！！

娘は３歳になる前からバレエを始め、７月でまる四年。これまでは、お遊戯といった感じで、バレエ用語もまったくわからなくて平気でしたが、トゥシューズを履く段階が近づいてきて、少しずつバレエ用語を必要としてきました。この本は軽く、いつでも持ち歩けるため、レッスン中にわからない言葉が出てきてもすぐに調べることができますし、イラストや写真や例もわかりやすく書いてあるので、初心者にはとてもいいと思います。ピンクのかわいい表装もバレエらしくてとても素敵です。いつでもどこででもくるくるくるくる踊り続けている娘に、母もこの本で勉強して、少しでも協力できたらいいなと思います。
