　4作目。初期ペティの諸作がついに紙ジャケ化！リアルタイムで聴いたのが「Southern Accents」からと、ちょうどレコードとCDの入替り時期だったので、それ以前の諸作がなかなか入手できなかった覚えがある。当時のアメロク全盛期ですら、ここ日本での人気は散々だったからね…。

　前作にプラスして、S・ニックスとの「Stop Draggin' My Heart Around」のヒットを受けた後のアルバムだもん、製作費も含めてもっと豪華にすることだってできたはずなのに、ジャケ写の「普段着」が示すとおり、前作の延長線のまんま、何ら変わらぬロック魂を貫き通したが曲が心地よく、いつもながらのハイクォリテイ！

　“the waiting is the hardest part…”、後の彼の代名詞ともなるヒット曲（1）、S・ニックスとの切ないデュエット（8）を始め、今作も名曲揃い。とはいえ、ちょっと気負いすぎたかなぁ、というところもあり、前作までの“しなやかさ”とか“疾走感”みたいな部分が少し薄まってしまっているように思え、そこはちょっと惜しいかな。
