   ルー・リードがBBC主催のライヴなどでお茶を濁し、デビッド・ボウイがどんどん今の音楽からズレてしまい、ミック・ジャガーがストーンズの売上アップで忙しい中、元祖ロックの悪ガキ、イギー・ポップが今も変わらずパンク・ロックしてくれているのはうれしい限りだ。彼が今なお健在であることは注目に値する。『Nude and Rude』はそんなイギーの強靭な音楽の集大成だ。ストゥージズの1969年のデビュー作から、1990年の『Brick By Brick』までを網羅したコレクションである本作は、大きく3つの時代に分かれる。ストゥージズ時代の「I Wanna Be Your Dog」や「Search and Destroy」はシャウトが強烈な泥臭いロック。「Nightclubbing」「Lust For Life」「The Passenger」は1977年に劇的に変身を遂げた頃のイギーの作品。そして後期の作品は全盛期の頃には及ばないものの、この世紀末にルー・リードやデビッド・ボウイ、ミック・ジャガーが発表した作品に比べれば、はるかにいい出来だ。(Louis Pattison, Amazon.co.uk)

イギーのベストをCD一枚にまとめるのは無理があると思うし、このCDの音質ももっと丁寧に処理をするべきだったと思います。適当に収録できる代表曲を並べておいたらいいかみたいな、雑な印象を受けます。
イギーの初めて聴くのがこのCDだったら、他のものを聴いてみようと思う人は少ないでしょう。
