This consists of five major hypotheses;the Acquisition-Learning Hypothesis, the Natural Order Hypothesis, the Monitor Hypothesis, the Input Hypothesis and the Affective Hypothesis. These theoritical models will provide you with the clues to construct basic tenets aboutlanguage acuisition. There might be objections about the models but who have balanced view about language acquisition would not ignore them even in everyday classroom. If you have no philosophy or have firmly fixed belief that make you stiff in your teaching, your teaching will never develop.
