   定番ウィルス対策ソフト「ウイルスバスター2001」以降のユーザーが「ウイルスバスター2004　インターネットセキュリティ」にアップグレードできるユーザー優待版。

   ウィルス、ワームの侵入や外部への送信をブロックする「ウイルス対策」はもちろん、ウイルス感染を予防し、ウイルス感染自動修復機能などを備えた「次世代ウイルス防御システム」、スパイウェアなどによる個人情報の外部への流出をブロックし、スパイウェアや迷惑メールを検出したり有害サイトへのアクセス規制が行える「プライバシー保護」、企業レベルの不正侵入検知機能（IDS）を搭載した「ハッカー/不正侵入対策」までを、これ1本で行える。

   初心者でも簡単に操作できるように工夫されているので、自分のネット環境や利用方法に合わせてカスタマイズする必要があっても安心だ。なお、シリアルナンバーが必須のため、対象ユーザーでもナンバーを紛失している場合は利用できないので注意しよう。（三井貴美子）

今までの経験から言うと他のアプリケーションとの相性やソフトウェアとしての安定性、またウィルス検索するときの速度、どれも一番でした。

メニューや設定については確かに簡素なところは昔から変わりませんが、普通にインターネットを使用して、普通にE-Mailを使用して、普通にパソコンを利用している方には充分だと思います。また、ウィルスバスターであれば1年毎の更新料を支払っていれば、ソフトのバージョンアップも無償でできます。

「アンチ＊＊＊」などは更新料を支払ってもソフトのバージョンアップはできず、別料金となります。

ダウンロードやオンライン更新と違って手元に実物としてのソフトが残るのはいいかなと思い購入しました。使いやすいです。更新もあっという間。さすがです。ただ…更新が終わってしまうと、使わないのにかさばってしょうがないですね(苦笑)このテのソフトはパッケージが大きいですから。

オンライン更新と比べると約千円高い。それでもダウンロード版と比べて千円以上のメリットを見出せる方にのみオススメ。
ソフトのアップグレードと会員期間更新の２つができますので、ダウンロードの辛いナローバンダーや、年会費の払込にクレジットや振替を使いたくない人などにはいいのではないでしょうか。
