グラミーにもノミネートされたGorillazの2ndアルバム。
曲はもちろん最高なのだが、CCCDなのが惜しい！
UKの輸入盤(DVDつき)を買ったほうが良いかもしれない。
だけど、とてもいい曲ばかり(特にFeel Good Inc.)なので、星４つ。

このアルバムをiTunesに入れる時、ジャンル分けに困った。

　ロックでもあり、ポップでもあり、ヒップホップ的でもある。なんせ
プロデューサーはビートルズの「ホワイト・アルバム」とJAY-Zの
「ブラック・アルバム」を混ぜて「グレイ・アルバム」という傑作を
作ってしまった鬼才である、そもそもの発想力がとび抜けている。
　ビートルズの時代から連綿と受け継がれてきたブリティッシュ・ロッ
クの実験精神とヒップホップ的なクールさが混ざり合った、
まさに「灰色」なポップ・ミュージックです。

Blurの殻を破り、1stアルバムではUK感を感じさせずに、ノリで突き進むRock+Hipの印象でしたが、Gside・シングル多数と進むにつれてBlurの路線に戻り出してる気がしてました・・・。

4年ぶりとなるこの作品では、私的ですが真逆なPARKLIFEの印象
ジャンルの融合を作りすぎて、すこしHipHopの入りに強引さを感じる私ですが、
やはり”音”への作りコミはかなりの物で、ヘッドホンで聞くとスピーカーでは逃してる音に
ニンマリさせられます。

Zombieズキとしては、どこかにセリフオマージュを探したい所です。
