ナイトメア・ビフォア・クリスマスからティム・バートン監督にハマって、この作品を購入しました。
同じように興味を持った人なら楽しめる作品です。というのは、随所にナイトメア〜に似た構成や雰囲気があるからです。

原作が絵本のためか、お話は単純で、複雑な伏線などに悩まされることなく楽しむことができます。
逆に、複雑なお話が好きな人には物足りないはず。純粋に「楽しい」のがこの映画。有名な「あのBGM」には思わずツッコミたくなりました。

★をひとつ減らしたのは、せっかくの個性的な人物設定があまり活かされてない（格闘娘には格闘シーンがあってもいい、など）ことと、
注意して見てしまうと演出不足な部分が結構あるためです（楽しさを重視するならもう少し大げさにしてもいいかな〜、と）。
ほとんど趣味嗜好の部分なので人によりけりですけどね。

肩の力を抜いて、単純に楽しんで見てください。

『チャーリーとチョコレート工場 』(Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) 　DVD　2005年公開　アメリカ映画

大人のおとぎ話でもあり、子供のおとぎ話でもあるのかな。
ラストシーンが全てを語っているのだけれど、ネタばれになるので書かない。
チョコレートの甘さ以上に甘い幸福は何か。それが主題だろう。

強いて批評的にいえば、チョコレートを食べた事すらないカカオ原産国の子供達が沢山居ること、さらにカカオ農場で働かされている学校も行けない子供達が居ることも織り込んで欲しかった。そしてカカオの価格は原産国でなく先進国の意向で決まっていることを。
