単行本も持っていましたが、今文庫で入手して読んでみて、この内容がもう２０年以上前（１９８３年に第１話）に始まった漫画の内容とは思えないくらいに今の地球を描いてあり、作者の凄さを改めて思いました。ＳＦ的、ファンタジー的な要素をいっぱいに持つのに現実も描いてあり人の感情も様々な形で描かれています。これほどに私の人生に影響を及ぼした作品はありませんでしたが、文庫という形でまた購入できることを嬉しく思いました。環境汚染への警告をこの作品で感じ、主婦になった今私は可能な環境保護をコツコツと続けています。

　夢の内容などさほど気にしない人が世の中多数派だと思うし、かくいう私もその一人である。しかし、もしその『夢』が現実の未来を握る鍵だとしたら―まして人類未来の行く先を教示してるとしたら…『Ｒ―ドリーム』と作者に名づけられた作中の夢は、根底深く環境問題に関わっていると私は思う。深い哲学的視野を持ちながら、あくまで主役である一美大生の、不思議感覚的な切り口から描かれていることに作者の力量を感じる。コミックスで過去に一度読んだ物語、そして、文庫化されて尚読みたいと思わす感覚。危機感高まる今だからこそ、分かる事があるのではないでしょうか。
