「ダ・ヴィンチ・コード」はサスペンス仕立てのミステリーとして読む分には面白いが、キリスト教についてのあまりの無知、歪曲、欺瞞にたいそう憤慨しながら読んでいた。それが嘘で塗り固められた小説だと判るキリスト信者はまだいいとして、何の知識もない未信者の一般読者に「へぇ、そうだったの?!」と思わせてしまうのが何よりも罪だと、苦々しく思っていた。
そんな私の溜飲を見事に下げてくれたのが、この気鋭の書である。物語を読みながら思わず「そんな馬鹿な!!」と私が叫んでしまった作中の問題箇所をくまなく列挙し、その一つ一を、確固たる態度で論証してゆく。読み進むうちに改めて、いかにこの小説が嘘に満ち充ちたものであるかをつくづく思い知らされ、吐き気を催してしまった。

キリスト教の立場からの反論の書ではあるが、これは是非とも一般の読者に手に取っていただきたい。
星一つ少ないのは、目次というか、各章のタイトルに少々不満があったから。もっと細かく分けて、一目で内容が分かるようにしたらなお良かったと思う。

全世界を席巻した感のあるダビンチコード。たしかに速力感あり畳み掛ける展開に読み応えがあったが、なにか変な気がした理由が本書を読んで理解できた。しかし、本書はもう少し反証を重厚に書くべきだったのではないかという気もした。このままでは十分な警戒心と正しい理解を得るには不足な気もしたので、必要な書とおもったものの減点1.
本書を読む人は他に邦訳されている「「反」ダビンチコード　嘘にまみられたベストセラー」も読んでみる必要があると思う。

『ダ・ヴィンチ・コード』の虚偽・誤謬について論駁し、また史実と事実に基づいたキリスト教の真理性を証明した本である。『ダ・ヴィンチ・コード』を読んで、信仰がぐらついた人、またこんな荒唐無稽な本を読んで、キリスト教への偏見を持ってしまった一般の人に読んでもらいたい。小著で、少々突っ込んだところが足りないが、十分に論駁の役を果たしていると思う。
