バイオリンを弾いてます。
肉体を酷使するバイオリン奏法を 考えるうえで　
骨格や筋肉について いろいろと学び実践してきました。
これまでいまひとつだった からだの使い方からのアプローチを　
本書との出会いが　充分に補ってくれました。

ダンサー向けに書かれていても　
とくに無理なポーズが求められているわけではありません。
ＤＶＤの音声ガイドに合わせた ゆったりとした動きで
ただひたすらに 自分のからだの内側と対話していきます。　
始めにある約11分間の｢全身のムーブメント・レッスン｣を行っただけで　
その後に演奏すると
からだの柔軟性やバランス 音のレスポンスやリズム感に変化がおきました。

こころとからだのつながりを深めていきたい　
すべての方にお勧めしたいです。

写真、絵、図が非常にきれいであり、身体の使い方の説明や効果的な調整の方法がわかりやすい。CHAPTER2ではこのメソッドの考え方の概要が書かれている。「無駄な力を抜き、より効率的に豊かに動く」、「怪我の予防やパフォーマンスの向上を目指す」、などダンサーにとってこういったコンディショニングは本当に必要だと思われる。DVD付きなので、実際に動いてみることが出来、実践的であることも良い。実際に指導を受けた上でこの本を読むと一層良いと思う。他にない、大変優れた本だと思う。
