1984年代につくられた作品なのに、映像的にも、今の映画と比べても見劣りしない出来だと思います。機械がカクカクした動きだな、と昔に見た時は思ったものでしたが、そもそも、機械ってカクカクした動きをするものですよね。今見ると、返って、自然にみえました。ストーリーも良くまとまっていて、完成度高いです。改めてみて、すごい作品だなと思いました。ターミネーターは、機械の怖さ、人間の強さを魅せてくれて、みれて良かったなと思っています。続編のターミネーター２は、優しさ、カッコ良さが味わえるまた違った感じの作品なので、そちらもオススメです。ちなみに、ターミネーター３は、監督が変わり、迫力のアクションものとなっています。登場人物達の雰囲気がずいぶん変わっているので、別作品（１つの可能性としての未来）としてみた方が良いかもしれません。

今はNo3まで公開されてます。最初にこの作品を見た時は何だか筋の背景が判らない作品だと思ってましたが、続編を見ているウチに判ってきました。
この作品では悪役だったロボットが続編では主人公を助ける様になります。
スターウォーズと同じように今後の展開が楽しみな映画の１つです。

映像的には続編の方が見ごたえが在りますが、なんと言っても最初の作品ですから。

The phrase “I’ll be back” conjures up pretty much one image in today’s world; yes that of the first of the Terminator series of movies.

Night time, wind and electricity swirl around and the appetence of a naked Anry (Arnold Schwarzenegger.) Frightening in its self but only a taste of what is to come. It seems that he is invincible and is targeting all the Sara Connors in the phone book. Each one being dispatched more violently than the last. A less robust being (Michael Biehn) also appears the same way. He too is seeking Sara.
What is so intriguing about Sara Connors (Linda Hamilton)?
Who will find her first?
What effect can the outcome have on humankind?

I thought Arnold’s accent added to the character of the movie. It is the way one says “I’ll be back” that adds the threat.
