世界各国のクラブチームと27万人以上の選手データベースを搭載したサッカークラブ運営SLG。欧州リーグを中心に南米、アフリカ、アジアなど27万人以上の選手、海外で活躍する日本人選手たちがほぼ実名で登場する。プレイヤーは監督となって世界最強のサッカークラブをつくりあげていく。さらに、スピーディーに展開する試合画面を見ながら、同時に試合に関する様々な情報を確認して的確な采配をふるい、勝利への方程式を組み立てていく。また、試合をこなしクラブを勝利へと導くだけでなく、クラブの運営も同時に行なうこともできる。選手の補強や契約の更新はもとより、練習試合のブッキングから年間予定の決定なども行ない、実名選手データベースを元にした選手の補強を楽しむことが可能。本作では選手パラメーターがグラフ化され、試合中のハーフタイムで直接選手に指示が出せるなど、ユーザーの要望を反映させたものになっている。Win/Macのハイブリッド版。(Jリーグ、日本代表でのプレイは不可。)

Football Manager 2005から乗り換えましたが、基本的な機能は
損なわれておらず、満足出来る部分が多い。追加機能としての
「選手へのコメント」はより実際に近づいた様な気がする。

　また、練習を設定する機能などは簡素化されており、かなり
楽になったり（それが物足りないと言うのも無いわけではないが）
改善点もみられる。

　ただ、毎度課題となる「操作の重さ」に関してもだいぶ緩和された様
な気がするが、まだまだ重い…。加えてＪリーグ相変わらずないし…。
今回はＫリーグも対応になったようだし、次回作は是非Ｊリーグ対応を。

　また、欧州版と同時発売も期待したいです（欧州版が発売されると、
まずそちらを買いたくなってしまう…）。

舞台が世界なんで、とにかくワールドワイドです。
世界５１カ国、２３万人以上のプレーヤーがいます。

ただし、欧州でバカ売れのソフトの日本語版だけあって、
Ｊリーグや日本代表でプレイできないのがツライ。

目標は世界最強のクラブチームを作る事。
試合中はリアルタイムで作戦をだしたり、
ハーフタイムにじっくり作戦を練ったりできます。

さらに、クラブチームの運営も最強チームを作る上で必須となります。
新規に選手を補強したり、既存の選手の契約更改をしたり、
練習試合を組んだり、年間スケジュールも管理します。

監督となり、クラブの代表となり、チームを常勝軍団に作り上げるのですが、
このようなシュミレーションゲームの目標は、やはり「最強」となるでしょう。

CM4、CM03/04(何れも日本語版)とﾌﾟﾚｰして今回、FM2006を購入しました。
膨大なデータ量の反面、ﾃﾞｰﾀｾｰﾌﾞ等の動きが遅いのは相変わらずですが
(そういった意味で星４つです。)真のサッカーファンならそれを差し引いても、やり応えの有るゲームだと思います。
　前２作はスタメンを自分で決めなければならず、最初のうちそれが面倒だったのですが、今回はアシスタントマネー
ジャが推薦してくれる機能もあるので、やり易くなったのではないでしょうか。

　ゲームは、このシリーズの特徴でもあるテキストベースで進行するので、ビジュアル的なものを求めている人やJリー
グ、日本代表でのプレーが出来ないので、そのような事を求めている人には不向きかもしれません。それとマシンスペックは
高性能な物をお奨めします。海外サッカーファン(特に欧州)ならやって損は無い作品だと思います。
