ドンドコいうドラムにブルージーなギター・・・
ダミ声ボーカルにぶっといベース・・・
そこへかぶさってくる妖しいコーラス・・・

土臭く、かつシュール。荒々しさと洗練が奇妙に同居している不思議なサウンド。
砂漠、魔術、ブードゥー・・・そんな言葉が浮かんできます。

感傷の真反対をいくこの感覚は、僕には必要不可欠です。

ビーフハート隊長のだみ声唱法は日本の浪曲
と遠吠えオオカミをミックスした凄味が。
旧年最期にオレが聴いたのは、
隊長の“ジグ・ザグ・ワンダラー ”であった。
