最後までハラハラドキドキの連続でとても面白いです。

There is much in this book that comes from many of the previous books, including Children of the Jedi. Here we meet Irek and Roganda Ismaren and what happened to them after they disappeared in Children. The Coruscant battle was somewhat too easy in a way. There wasn`t enough elaboration about things. With the Wraiths (mainly Kell and Face), with Luke, Mara and Tahiri. The disappointing thing was I think I expected the Dark Jedi to be Jacen... after all, the semi-conclusion of Dream was that Jacen would be on Coruscant. At the same time, we know that in Traitor, somehow Jacen and Vegere would appear. Also I half thought we would see the death of Tahiri here, following in the footsteps of her beloved Anakin. Of course, I also didn`t expect Viqi Shesh to die in this book. The discovery of the Force source was interesting and I am wondering how big an impact it will make later on in the series. We will see...

The next point is perhaps the Jag - Jaina relationship. How does it develop? and what impact will it have on the possible alliance between the New Rebel Alliance, the Empire and the Chiss. Where will the New Republic mass their troops for the counterstrike? With Bel Ilbris, Wedge, Kre`fey and also Ackbar returning to the scene, it should start getting interesting. Where will the Council come into this? Will the Hutts come back? and what will happen with the situation of Corellia, home planet in a way to the Solos, the Antilles and to the Fels and also of the Horns? Will there be a jedi offensive on the horizon and what will happen to the possible formation of a new Jedi Council? The Peace Brigade and also Nom Anor will be an interesting point. Additionally, Vegere, obviously a Jedi masked as an enemy will enter as a major character soon. Any more developments with Shamed Ones? Also, what about Overlord Shim`ra? What is his link? Why do they not exist in the Force. One development that I want to see to some extent is the appearance of the White Current (The Black Fleet Trio).

Wedge and Tycho have successfully defended Borealis. Although there were severe losses, including the loss of Lusankya. The death of one warmaster was an interesting development, but he was a worthy foe. How will the fleet procede from here?

Overall, this book is not one of the best books written by Aaron Alston. However, it was he that started up Wedge and Iella together and also the Wraiths. We will see what happens in Traitor and later on, perhaps near the end in Destiny`s Way we might see who will be the Jedi that is gonna lead them on to a new path. We know its not gonna be any of the older Jedi... Anakin is dead, Jaina is returning from the Dark Side. I only wish that Jacen be the one. He has the innate power, not the sheer power of Anakin, nor the piloting skills of Jaina. What he does have is a deep understanding of the Force. Perhaps he will be the one that is going to be the leader... whatever happens, it`ll be interesting to see what develops between Jacen and Tenel Ka.
