今までシルヴィのことは断片的にしか知りませんでした。幼ないころ耳にした「アイドルを探せ」、小学生のころ聴いていた「あなたのとりこ」、猫も杓子もディスコ・ブームに乗っていたころの「ディスコ・クイーン」、中島みゆきをカバーした「悪女」、シルヴィの音楽で知っていることと言えばそれくらいでした。

というわけで、このＤＶＤを見るまでは、シルヴィのステージがこれほどパワフルであり、生粋のエンターテイナーであつたっとは想像もしていませんでした。2時間に及ぶステージですが、とにかく見ていて楽しい、１曲目の「焔（ほのお）」から引き込まれ、気がつけば2時間があっという間に過ぎていました。ステージの最後に、「歌い続けるのはお金のためかとよく聞かれるけど違うわ、歌うのが大好きなの、それだけよ」と、シルヴィが言っていましたが、その通りだと思いました。オーディエンスを楽しませるオーラに輝いていて、ポップス・シンガーでありシャンソン歌手でもあり、ロックンローラーでありバラード・シンガーでもあり、妖艶であり未だキュートな妖精でもあり、そのスケールの広さに、このＤＶＤ機にシルヴィにのめり込んでしまいました。ボーナス・トラックに収録されているシルヴィの幼少からの写真で構成したシルヴィの歴史のビデオ・クリップは、エネルギッシュなステージとは相対する哀愁が漂うシルヴィの一面を発見しました。

シルヴィについてほとんどバックグランドが無かった私でも、星５つお勧めできるＤＶＤです。スタジオ・レコーディングからは味わえないステージでのシルヴィを官能して欲しいと思います。

Sylvie Vartanの２００４年パリ・パレ・デ・コングレ公演は
ホント-に夢心地、全てを忘れて元気にさせられる
美しいものは素敵だ　気持を完璧にリフレッシュさせる
２時間３０分ものＤＶＤ映像はアットいう間
ボーナス「舞台裏のシルヴィ」で２００４年の大活躍ぶりが見られ
パリ市立モード美術館での衣装展「Sylvie Vartan, Revue de Mode」
なども面白い
けれども、やはり２時間のショウは短く終わりに悲しい気分がおそう
Sylvie Vartanという本物のスターの本物の歌は
一つ一つがそれぞれに違った感動をくれる
おもわず両手を挙げて大拍手でシルヴィを迎えたくなる
手拍子をしたくなる、踊りたくなる、
シルヴィの歌の素晴らしさに聞き入り心で喝采し
その姿の美しさに瞬きするのも惜しいくらいで賞賛のため息をつく
シルヴィと観客の互いの思いに胸が熱くなる
ブラーボーー、　シルヴィ・ヴァルタン　！！！！！！！！！！！！

高校生の頃校舎に彼女の「アイドルを探せ」が流れていた。それを彼女と屋上で聞いていた。言葉はフランス語で分からないけど、BGMとしては良かった。若い頃の歌歌唱力はあまりないが彼女は魅力に富んでいた。彼女にもいろんな出来事があった。年月が過ぎ、数年前TVで彼女の「あなたのとりこ」が流れた。勿論昔に吹き込まれた物。実は彼女の発売された曲全部持っている。ジャーたまにはDVDでも，と購入。幼きアイドルは最高のエンタテェイナー、歌手に変身していた。彼女に起きた悲劇乗り越えて。エクサレント！！素敵な女性に乾杯！！
