昨年6月の惜しくも解散してしまったクリードのベスト・アルバムがリリース！アルバム・トータル・セールス3000万枚というヒット・アルバムの中から特に人気の13曲を収録！
そして初回盤のみに付いてくるボーナスDVDにはビデオクリップ9曲、未発表ライヴ・パフォーマンス3曲を収録。ファンにとっては手にしておきたいマスト・アイテムです！ちなみにVo.のスコットを除く3人は新バンドAlter Bridgeを結成。スコットはソロ・デビュー予定です。

3000万枚以上売った、クリードの1st〜3rdアルバムから選曲のベストアルバム。全13曲中8曲が全米NO.1シングルです。

3rd「ウェザード」からの11「Bullets」は飛び抜けてハードな曲ですが、ギターで押すようなバンドでは無いので全体的にはハードでは無いです。
疾走感は無く、テンポ遅めの曲が多い。静かな部分も多いです。

ヘヴィな部分と静かな部分を混ぜたサウンドにヴォーカル、スコット・スタップの歌声が合わさって作り出された曲を、歌詞と共にじっくり聴いて味わうバンドだと思います。

DVDには9曲のPVとライヴ映像が3曲収録されています。ライヴ映像が入っているのは嬉しいところ。

3rd「ウェザード」前に脱退したベースのブライアン・マーシャルを含むオリジナルメンバーで2009年に再結成をしたクリード、これからどうなるのか・・・。

ポストグランジの混沌とした全米ロックシーンに登場し、瞬く間にスターダムに駆け上り、そして３枚のウルトラビッグヒットアルバムを残して、あっけなく解散してしまったクリード。

スピリチュアルな詩情が劇的なヘヴィサウンドとシンガロングできる良質なメロディによって提供され、コンサート会場が大合唱になる様は「グラスルーツ・ゴスペル」と言われた彼ら。しかし、もう２１世紀のロックの救世主はいない...。

本ベストアルバムは、その早くも伝説化した彼らの活動を総覧できる充実の逸品だ。３枚のアルバムからの選曲も申し分ないが、ファンならずとも、初回限定版のＤＶＤは押えておくべき。大ヒット曲のプロモクリップやライヴ映像がコンパクトに収められている。映像が加わる事で、更に彼らの魅力が多面的に味わえるだろう。
