5.0 out of 5 stars 本来ブルーレイ向きの映画, 2009/12/13
ゴシック超の建物と、ビザールなセンスのヒーロー・アクション映画ですが、
内容は非常に私的な復讐ということで、全体のトーンは暗く、それに呼応したかのように
話のほとんどが夜のシーンで構成されており、
黒の諧調がどこまで出せるかに挑戦するような映像です。

DVDでも持っていますが、今回のブルーレイでの特徴は炎の部分と暗い部分の諧調の
部分がそれなりに出ているので、見る価値はありそうです。
大手メジャーの映画ではないので流石に超高画質とは行きませんが。

結構切ない映画なので、見終わっても、必ずしもすっきりはしませんが、
妙に残る映画。
悲しいことに映画容そのものがブランドン・リーの墓標のような存在でもあります。
監督のアレックス・プロヤスは次の「ダーク・シティー」でも、夜しかない街という
映画を監督していて、こちらもブルーレイ向きのダーク･ファンタジーなのですが、
こちらは今はギャガなので、いつ発売されるだろうか。
