インスト・ロックやエレクトロニカ、クラブ・ミュージック系のアーティスト（ヒューマン・ビートボックスまで！）がジブリの映画作品のＢＧＭや主題歌をカバーした作品集。
いずれにしても、聴く者のノスタルジーに訴えかけるような切なさ・懐かしさ（よく考えてみればジブリの作品に出会ったときの記憶をくすぐるのかも）を
たっぷり含んでいて、なおかつジブリ作品特有の茶目っ気溢れる楽しさもちゃんと混ぜ込んであるのがうれしい点。
個人的なお気に入りは、豪快な遊び心を散りばめた打ち込みのＤＪのはら（やけのはら）、何度聴いても心を震わす10分強の大作を作り上げたＷｏｒｌｄ’ｓ　Ｅｎｄ　Ｇｉｒｌｆｒｉｅｎｄ　ｆｅａｔ．湯川潮音。
他のアーティストも手抜きのないイイ仕事っぷり。だけど、ＤＥ　ＤＥ　ＭＯＵＳＥのトラックはヴォーカルと相性が悪いかもしれない（彼の流麗な音世界が声に潰されているように思える）。

　全体的にジャケットやCDのタイトルほど"キラキラ"かどうかは微妙なところかなーと思えます。むしろなんだか大人な感じの曲に仕上がっているものが多いです。DE DE MOUSEさんのカントリーロードはキラキラした感じですが、私的には他の曲はそうでもないような･･･。オリジナルの曲調がそうさせているのかもしれませんが。

　だからといって収録されている曲が悪いというわけではありません。8bit系のファミコンみたいな音のするトトロやナウシカがあったり、クラブミュージック風のもののけ姫などなど。ジブリが色んなジャンルでアレンジされていて、新鮮でしたし、気に入ったものも結構ありました。
　
　他のアレンジされたジブリのCDがどんなものなのか知らないので比較は出来ませんが、個人的にはよかったかな、と思います。ただやはり色々入っているので試聴をお勧めします。値段もそれほど高くないので気に入ったものがあれば購入していただければと。

『world's end girlfriend featuring 湯川潮音』
この1曲のために、私はこのアルバムにお金を出したと思っております。

ジブリ好きの琴線に最も触れてくる、ある意味、聖域的な２曲を融合させ、原曲のイメージを損なうことなく、新しい世界へと昇華させています。

何度も泣きました。素晴らしい。
