はじめに、自分は「趣味で」サイトを作成している人なので
企業の方が読むのに役立つかは憶測で言っていると思って下さい。

この本は、
・ログをとるソフトはどういうものがあるのか
・採集したログをどう見れば良いのか何が分かるのか
・ログを見て得られた結果からどうリソースを増強すれば良いのか
ということが非常に具体的に書かれています。

筆者はFlickrを運営してきた上で実際にどうログをとって、
ログから動向を推測して、どう対処したかを述べているので、
数学的にどうなるというよりは、経験則に基づく部分も多いです。
そのため、数学に苦手意識がある人でも、すらすら読む事が出来ますし、
すぐに役立ちそうな内容が詰まっています。

本の翻訳がよく、読みやすい本なので、
システム管理者やキャパシティプランニング担当の方は
一度立ち読みして(薄いのでらくだと思います)良さそうなら
買っていいと思います。
