内容は邦題、およびサブタイトルの「カントリー・アルバム〜ナッシュビルのリンゴ、カントリーを歌う！！」が示すとおり、カントリーの本場ナッシュビルでカントリーを歌ったアルバム。リンゴの趣味全開、言ってみれば前作に続いて「企画もの」のアルバム（一種のトータルアルバムか？）ではあるが、収録曲は既発のカントリーカバーではなくナッシュビルの音楽会社にストックされた地元ミュージシャンの未発表曲をリンゴ自身が選び、同じく地元のカントリーミュージシャンをバックに歌った（プレイはしていない）というところが元ビートルズのリンゴだから許された豪華さ。

初めて購入する人なら、リンゴのポップさを期待しないで☆5個

しかし紙ジャケって企業主導のコレクターズアイテムになっているなぁ
それに踊らされていることは十分自覚しているが・・・

本作のジャケットはコーティングされた見開きなっておりUK盤を再現したものになっています（帯はアップル帯）
確かに紙ジャケは音は2の次でジャケットの再現性が命だけど「リンゴ・スターのアルバムを紙ジャケ化」というだけでは購入ターゲットが狭いと思う。決してバカにしている訳ではないがリンゴではジョン、ポール、ビートルズみたいに「紙ジャケだから購入しよう」という人は少ないと思う。新規ファンなら曲を聴くならヒットシングル＝ベスト盤という選択になると思う(ネットで買えば安いしね）。

おそらく購入者の大部分はリンゴのCDを所有済みだと思うのでリマスターするとか、ボーナストラックを追加するとか、音の方に付加価値を追加するようもう少し企業努力をして欲しかった。
