小難しい本をよむよりも、目で確認が直ぐ出来ます。この本を読んでおいてから、中級程度の本を読むと理解度が増しました。

外科当直で骨折や脱臼を疑ってレントゲン撮ったときはまずこれに出ている写真で自分で確認します。とにかく写真が多いし、簡単な解剖も載っているし、どんな治療をするかあらかじめ予想がつくので役に立ちます。初心者向けです。

　新研修制度になっても整形はあまり重点を置かれない。しかし、これ程プライマリーに必要な科もない。にもかかわらず整形は解剖が複雑でわかりやすい本はあまりない、というよりほとんどない。
　本書はその薄さにも関わらず非常に丁寧に記載。解剖図も非常にわかりやすい（はしょれるところははしょっているからだろうか）し、整復の仕方も簡にして要を得ている。そして、手術適応も非常に分かりやすく、救急でのコンサルトの対応にも本書を用いれば迷うことはないだろうし、手術見学しても非常に学びやすくなるだろう。
　整形にかかわりのない医師にも是非通読してもらいたい最高の一冊。
