みうらじゅんは、こんなこともやっていたのだなあ。
各地の絵葉書からセレクトした、意図がまったくつかめない不思議な「カスハガ」の数々……。あきれながら、それでも頁を繰らずにおられない。
観光地の絵葉書というのもだんだんと滅亡していくメディアなのかもしれない。この本に掲載されている絵葉書のインキや構図にただよう「旧時代性」に、そんな感慨も持った。

カスのような絵はがきだからカスハガ。
インパクトのあるネーミングである。

全国各地どころか一部は外国のものまで、どうしようもない絵はがきをこれでもかというくらい集めたのがこの本である。
なんというか、なんでこんな絵はがきを作り、売っているのか。謎の絵はがきばかりである。
絵はがきになるような行事も景色もない。
5枚セットにしないといけないが5つも題材がない。
現地の人はいいと思っているかもしれないが、センスが悪い。
なんだろうか、もう無理矢理作ってみたような絵はがきも結構見られる。

みうらじゅんはいつもどうでもいいようなものを集める。
今回もその典型である。どうでもいいものもここまで集めるとある種の偉業である。

みうらじゅんが各地で収集した全国のカスみたいなはがき＝カスハガを延々紹介していく本。一見何のために、どういう意図で撮られたかわからないカスハガの真意を想像して漫画でも再現してます。それがバカですごい面白い！
この人はほんとに普通の人なら見向きもしない間抜けなものに注目してそれを仕事や本にする達人だとおもいます。

どんなものでもやりつづければ、集め続ければ道なり世界になる！
そう思わされる１冊「カスハガの世界」
