この製品は何よりも「この価格でAutoCADが買えるの？」と思わせる破格の低価格でありながら、致命的な機能限定がない点に最大の特徴がある。
具体的な機能限定は、いわゆるアカデミック版（このパッケージとは異なる、もう少し高価で機能限定が全くない教育機関の授業での使用向け製品）と同様に通常のAutoCADの全機能が使えるが、この「学生版」では印刷の際に出力用紙の４辺に教育機関向けの製品である旨の表示が自動的に記載され、商用利用はダメという点、インストール後30日以内に行うアクティべーションから２年間の使用期限が設定される点、バージョンアップ（アップグレード）やテクニカルサポートの対象外である点である。ただし、AutoCADを教材として採用している教育機関の学生が自習用に購入するにはこれ以上のコストパフォーマンスの製品はないと思われる。専門学校、短大の学生ならば１度このパッケージを購入すれば在学期間中、使用できるし、大学の学生でも２度の購入で在学期間中をカバーできる。
印刷時の機能限定も、他のソフトにデータエクスポーとする際にはなんら影響がなく、通常のAutoCADで作成したデータと同じように扱えるので、他のソフトと連携して使用すれば印刷結果に目障りな表示は表れないので、機能限定を意識する必要は無いに等しい。

ＣＡＤ利用技術者資格取得のために今回購入しました。正規版なら何十万もするものなのでこの価格で使用できるのはお得だと思います。しかも、Autodesk社から直接購入より多少安くなってます。ただし、二年間という期間限定ですが。もう少し期間が長くてもいいかな、とも思います。昔のに比べれば機能も充実してますし、テキストもたくさん出回ってるソフトなので、試験や早描きなどには向いてると思います。二年あればとりあえず一度目で失敗しても何度か挑戦するまで使用できますし。期間終了までの資格取得めざして皆でがんばりましょう！！
