冲方丁さんの同名小説のコミカライズ。
既刊連載という形式で3ヶ月に1回のペースで描かれたものが1冊になっています。
そして原作1巻にあたる3つのエピソードを収録し、単巻完結。
次があるかどうかは売れ行き次第？
いまのところ続きが描かれた事実はありません。

内容に関しては小説丸1冊を漫画で1冊にしているので、ダイジェスト気味の駆け足観が否めず。
原作の世界観が近未来SFなだけに、その辺の設定を説明する描写に時間を割いていない点が原作読者以外にとって結構なマイナス要素と思われます。

一方原作読者としては物語の表層だけをなぞるストーリーの進行速度に不満を覚える人も少なくなさそう。
ただ、作画がなかなか良いので、暴れまわる涼月などのシーンが全てビジュアル化されているという魅力は大きいです。
表紙からしてコレであり、あの奇抜な衣装の数々がイラストになっています。

総じて、これ単体では漫画としての完成度は低く、プレビュー的に漫画版で大雑把な世界観を知って興味をもったら原作小説も、という入門用になるのが一番ふさわしそうな作品。
既に小説を読んでいる人はちょっとしたイラスト集くらいのつもりでどうぞ。

小説版を読んでいる側から言わせてもらうと、小説のおもしろさがコミックだけを読んだ読者にちゃんと伝わっているか不安でした。無理に1巻にまとめずに数巻使ってもっと詳しく描いて欲しかったです。でも絵の方は流石でした。各キャラクターに少しづつアレンジを加えていて僕は好きでした。特に陽炎がお気に入りです。それと、付いていた帯の裏に30日発売のザ・スニーカーでなにやらシュピーゲルシリーズの重大発表があるとのことでした。そちらも楽しみですね。

なので漫画で出るというのでどんなものなのか
気になって買ってみました。
その前歴から機械化された幼女3人組が
戦いを繰り広げる話なんですね。
感想は、例えて言うなら
皆本のいない『絶対可憐チルドレン』とか
『クロスロオド』のガーメントの子供達が主人公な話
のように感じました。
あるいは幾たびの試練の中で成長する姿を見ることが
この作品の本筋なら、序幕であろうこの内容は読み進め
難い部分なのでしょうか。
