戦国大名「武田信玄」を題材にした戦国歴史シミュレーションゲーム。プレイヤーは大将の視点から、長刀衆、槍衆、弓衆、騎馬衆、鉄砲衆といった大軍団を指揮することができ、その際、指揮の対象は個々の兵士ではなく、最高40名の兵で編成される師団単位になるため、よりリアルな合戦が展開される。また、戦略を左右する陣形も多彩に用意。天下統一を狙うキャンペーン・モード、忠実に基づいた合戦を単独にプレイできる史実の合戦モード、LANまたはインターネット上での2プレイヤーによる対戦モードの3形態を用意。
