   城塞、拠点という意味をもつ本タイトルは、中世ヨーロッパの城と城下町を舞台にしたリアルタイムSLG。プレイヤーは城を造ることで、民を集め、お金を得、資材や食料などを生産する。さらにそれらを消費しながら兵を雇い、武器を造り、周囲に塔や堀などの設備を配置して、より強固な城を作り上げていくのである。

   ゲームモードは、攻城戦や防衛戦を楽しむ「戦略ゲームモード」と、戦闘を行わずに領地の発展のみを楽しむ「経済ゲームモード」の2種類を用意。前者は21のミッションからなるミリタリー・キャンペーンや、実在する歴史的な城を攻撃する攻城ミッションなどがある。また経済ゲームモードでは王国の再建を中心とする政治経済キャンペーンや、目標のないフリー・プレイなどが用意されている。

   ネットワークを通じて最大8人との対戦することが可能であり、マップとシナリオを作成するエディタも搭載されているので、自作のオリジナルミッションを複数のプレイヤーで対戦して遊ぶのもおもしろい。（秋月昭彦）

とてもよくできているの民衆の表情や動き。
君主に中世を誓い、せっせと小麦を運んでパンを作ったり、木を切り倒して木材を運んでくれます。
また1人1人に名前（人は勿論動物にも）がついており芸が細かい。
また、敵の侵攻に備えどこに塔を建て城壁の厚さはどれくらいにするか。

どこに弓兵を配置し罠にはめるか。いかに城門を破られるまで時間を稼ぎ
敵の頭上に矢の雨を降らせる時間を長くするか・・・・。
こういったことをチマチマと考えながらお城を築いていく楽しさがあります。
不満をあげるとすれば
1:自軍の兵士がなかなか思うように動いてくれない。

2:CPUが単純なため、いかにも罠のしかけてある場所でもどんどん進軍してくるなど
3:マップエディタはちょっと使いにくい（個人的な意見です。工夫すれば噴水や闘技場や地下基地や船のようなものもつくれる。
4:シングルプレイに重点がおかれているのでマルチにやや向いてない印象がある

全体的にみれば非常におもしろいゲームなので、日本語版発売を機に多くの人と自慢の城を競いあえればいいなと思います。
