賛否両論のようですがはじめて一年の私はとても楽しんでいます。
他のオンラインゲーの批評など読むと「ＵＯって平和」と思います。
一人でのんびりまったりやっていてもいいし、ダンジョンで声かけて
一緒に戦ってもいい、家の内装に時間かけたり、資材集めたり。この
ゲームのよさって始めて間もない人でもちゃんと楽しめるところじゃ
ないかなと思います。初心者に優しいシステム、そして住人の人たち。
はじめてオンラインゲーやる人はＵＯが最も適しているんじゃないかと。
アイテムゲーだと言う方もいらっしゃいますが、ACT時間が短くても
そこそこの装備が手に入ったりすることってとてもいいことなんじゃ
ないでしょうか。長期間プレイしてる方々と差がありすぎることも
なくて敷居が低くなるし。

何よりプレイヤーの皆さんがみんな親切です。（一部そりゃマナーの
良くない人もいますけど）蘇生や回復もう何度してもらったことか。
右も左もわからない初心者だった私にそれは丁寧に分かりやすくいろ
いろ教えて下さった方が何人いらしたことか。わからないことがあれ
ばその場で聞けばきっと誰かが教えて下さいます。理不尽に殺される
こともありません（フェルッカは除きますが…行かなきゃいいわけで
すし）ソロでもパーティでも楽しめる、とってもいいゲームだと思い
ますよ♪

３週間やってみての感想ですが、今まで以上に、好き嫌いのわかれる
拡張版となっていると思います。私にとっては、８０点でした。

良い点は、生産関係の人に新たな目標ができた点です。木材の種類の
多様化、弓生産者が特殊な弓を作れるように、といった点です。
また、新しいダンジョンもでき、なかなか一人ではできないことが多くなり、
協力プレイが復活しました。最近、ゲーム内で喋らなかった人たちも、
新しいスキルやダンジョンで助け合ったり喋ったりしています。
（ギルメンでなくても）ＭＭＯゲームとして、コミュニケーションが
多少でも復活したので良かったと思います。

悪い点は、今までの中心プログラマが去ったりしたためか、ウルティマの
世界観は破壊されまくっています。気にしない人には関係ないことですが、
モアイ像、眼鏡、なんだかすごいことになっています。

インストールCDが2枚になっています。
それだけ新規データの量が多いと言う事でしょうか。
「冥府の軍馬」は、今までは3年以上経過したアカウントのキャラクターでしか乗れなかった透明騎乗生物が、UOを始めて間もない方でも乗れるとても格好いいモノです。
今回新しく導入されたエルフも、髪の毛や皮膚の色のバリエーションや、能力・クエストの多様さまで、長年UOをしてきた者もブリタニアに降り立ったばかりの頃のワクワクした気持ちを再び思い出すほど、新鮮で楽しい仕上がりになっています。
しばらくUOをしていなかった方へも、今回のアップグレードは是非お勧めしたいです。
