Comparing with some other books in the same series, this "Express Polish" is not well-written. I studied "CD express Greek", "express Italian", "Express spanish" intensively in a short period for each, and it provided useful vocabulary as well as solid grammar that I felt kind of confident talking with natives. (You may find my review for CD express greek.) However "Express polish" has many useless words instead of necessary ones. I was surprised to find myself NOT knowing
"what time is it now?", "Where should I go?", "how can I get there?" "I would like a cup of coffee"
while I already knew
"he is not so handsome, but is very nice and hardworking."
"I prefer coffee" (for given two choice)
It was very frustlating that I was stuck with difficult and useless words (such as przystoine) and took time to go to the next section, could not learn declination of "ide" (=go) earlier (may be nowhere in the book), neither some other very elementary words. I reached section11, and comparing with how much I could speak after reaching section8 of express greek, I felt I had wasted time, so I stopped learning. I even made CD by myself, asking a native polish speaker, since CD express was not available at that time. If new CD express has almost the same content, I strongly discourage you from using it to study Polish (assuming that you have similar back ground as mine: a serious turist-language learner, first-timer in slavic language, etc.)

ロシア語をマスターしている人ならポーランド語はかなり早くマスターできるだろう。また、逆にポーランド語から始めてスラヴィックの10カ国語ほどもかなり早くマスターできるにちがいない。また、南アジアの言語、アルタイ語族の言葉のマスターにも役に立つに違いない。このシリーズは日本国内で手に入りやすいカセットテープ付の語学入門書だ。
