1942年生まれ。インディアナ大学で歴史学(ラテン・アメリカ史)の博士号を取得。カリフォルニア州ソノマ大学で教鞭をとった後、1980年代より執筆活動を始める。UCLA女性学研究所研究員、遺伝病財団常任理事

1970年生まれ。専門は社会学。慶応義塾大学卒業後、東京大学にて博士号(保健学)取得。米国ブラウン大学ポスドク研究員を経て、現在は信州大学医学部保健学科講師。日本ハンチントン病ネットワーク共同代表

額賀 淑郎
1966年生まれ。国際基督教大学卒業後、カナダのマッギル大学にて博士号(医療社会学)を取得。東京大学客員研究員、コーネル大学ポスドク研究員を経て、現在はマックスプランク研究所ポスドク研究員(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
