Ne-Yoは、偶然レンタルでアルバムを借りたのを聞いたのが最初の出会いでしたが、とても良かったのと、「Closer」のPVを見てとても気に入ったので購入しました。

アルバム全体を通すと、最初から最後まで心地よくリズムに乗れる感じです。

「Closer」だけ聞くために購入した私としては、とてもお買い得でした。皆さんもいかがですか？！

初めてNe-Yoを購入しました。・・・というか、R&BのCD自体が初かもしれません。。
でも自分がイメージしていたものとは異なり、なんというか爽やかなリズム♪
ニーヨの歌声もクリアな感じで、アップテンポな曲も多く、重くない。
何度も聴いてもOKだと思いました。
ニーヨの若き才能を感じるアルバムです。

2009年1月の日本公演に合わせて、既存アルバム『Year of the Gentleman』に
「Closer」のRemixを2つ＆アルバム未収録曲「In the way」を追加収録した
来日記念盤（5万枚生産限定）。
初回価格盤より安いので、買うのを迷っていた人にはとてもお得！

先行シングル「Closer」は
今までのNE-YOのイメージとは少し違った形の曲で若干戸惑いもあったけれど、
何度が耳にするうちにやはりカッコイイ！と思わされました。
そして「Miss Independent」を聴く度に、彼の作るメロディの美しさに感心しきり。

追加収録された内容で特に気に入ったのが「Closer (Niteryders Remix)」
もともとStargateが“Houseを作りたい”ということで制作された曲が、
更にHouse色を強めたRemixで格好良い仕上がりです。
