待ってました。セカンドアルバム！自分が思い描いてた通りの世界観に感動です。
どこか切ないメロディが聴いていて心地いいです。
ファーストより音の広がりも増していますしね。

ファーストアルバムを買われた方、是非聴いてみてください！

傑作だったファーストアルバムから比較的短いスパンでリリースされた今作。
それゆえに音の世界観は前作を踏まえたものとなっている。
ギター2本が絡みあい、シンプルだが力強いリズム隊を合致するサウンドはやはり素晴らしい。

前作ではエコバニやジョイ・ディヴィションを引き合いに出されることの多かった彼らだが、今作では1stシングルにもなった1曲目を聴けば分かるようにＵ２やコールドプレイにも似た雄大で力強い楽曲が多くなった。
強弱法（サビで音を解放させる作曲法）を持ちいた楽曲が増えたことなどはそうしたことの裏返しなのかもしれない。

１stで聴かれたような80年代的なギターロックを求める人、また雄大なＵＫギターロックやバラッドを好む一般層にまで広くアピールできる２ＮＤアルバムだ。

ライブもサマーソニックで見たが、非常に素晴らしかった。
しかし、一本調子になってしまうところが見られたのも事実。
あとはここからどれだけ楽曲の幅と世界観を広げていくかが、彼らのこれからの課題だろう。

1stの“THE BACK ROOM”も良かったのですが、ボーカルの声質が太すぎるせいか、いまひとつ入りこめませんでした。
この2ndを見かけた時も、強い関心は持たず、
「一応聴いてみるか」という程度の気持ちで試聴しました。
ところが、1stより明らかに良くなっていました。

この2ndでも声の太さは変わるわけもありませんが、前半では1st以上にギターの疾走感がすばらしい上に、後半のバラードが非常に哀しくて良いのです。
中でも09“SPIDERS”の歌詞は耳でなく、直に胸に訴えかけるようです。
愛する女性を求め、思い詰めている感じが深く伝わる傑作だと思います。
