5.0 out of 5 stars 初めてのPS2ソフト、最高でした, 2004/1/14
舞台は日清戦争終結の直後。アジアも欧州も様々な面においてまだ混沌としていた時代の「闇」の部分を、現実とファンタジーを織り交ぜながら露出させて描いています。アジア・欧州共にこの時代特有の雰囲気がよく出ていて、歴史やカルト的な要素に興味のある方にはピッタリの作品だと思います。

キャラも音楽もとても個性的で魅力的。

中でも主人公ウルはガラが悪いくせに何だか可愛らしくもあり、また格好良くもあり。新しい「ヒーロー」としてとても新鮮でした。ストーリーのシリアスさに相反して、コミカルな場面も沢山。アクは強いけれど、思わずクセになってしまう作品です!

戦闘での「ジャッジメントリング」はややアクション的な要素が強いですが、
アクションが苦手な私でもあまり苦労することなく楽しめました。慣れてタイミングを合わせる事が出来ればちゃんと効果が反映され、従来のRPGのバトルシーンのように飽きる事も在りませんでした。

独創性が際立つ作品なので人によって好き嫌いが分かれるかも知れませんが、物語の本質は「父と子」「ウルとヒロイン・アリスとの絆」など、ちゃんとRPGの王道!といえるくらい正統なテーマを持っていると思います。
ベスト版や2の発売も有りますので、未プレイの方は是非!!オススメ!

ガラの悪い主人公は、RPGにとって新鮮ではないでしょうか。
明るい風を装って苦悩する主人公を支えるヒロイン。
マルチエンドなので、自分のプレイが反映されます。
グラフィックは、お世辞にも現在の製品と比べるといいとは言えません。
また、ボイスもそれほど入っていませんし、やり込み要素は大陸編で逃してしまうとできないものもあります。

しかし、それを補う音楽とオカルト好きにはたまらない暗い雰囲気とグロい敵。物語も結構楽しめます。
ちょっと寒いくらいのギャグが好きな方にもお勧めできます。
思わず笑ってしまうこともあるのではないでしょうか。

まずホラーが苦手な私は早まった?と思いました。それでもクリア出来たのは、キャラの魅力とストーリー展開の良さのおかげでした。

ギャグ要素に、キャラの掛け合いがいいです。内容としては王道でしょうか。けれど、ホラー色の強い雰囲気と敵は、一種独特で、敵をよく見ると恐さ倍増です。主題のストーリー自体はホラーではありませんが。

バトルシステムは始めこそ戸惑っても、すぐに慣れます。個人的に主人公がツボで、毎度ビビリながらも、ハマったゲームでした。

あとアイテムの説明が丁寧だったり、製作者に愛されてるゲームだと所々で感じられました。製作費の不足はやや感じられますが、優良RPGです。

続編の2と、3に当たるSHFの中では恐さは一番です
