自分のiMac G5（17インチ／PowerPC G5-1.6GHz／RAM-1GB）には重くはないかと心配していましたが、最新のOSとiLifeが欲しかったのと、iWorkも試して見たかったので、思い切って購入しました。結果は、今までより快適になったように感じます。今までの環境も簡単に移行できました。一つだけMailが起動しただけで固まってしまいますが、多分私の環境特有の問題だと思います。時期を見てクリーンインストールをやってみるつもりです。

5.0 out of 5 stars Leopard 入れていなかった人, 2009/1/30
自分のMacは1.6GHzのPowerBookと、ちと古かったこともあり、またOSは10.4で事足りていたことも有り、Leopard 導入には二の足を踏んでいたのですが、このセットはお得感が有り、購入しました。

Leopard(Mac OS 10.5):
アップデート（アーカイブしてインストール）しました。Mailで引き継ぎのトラブルがありましたが、他は順調で動作も速くなりました。Flashの再生スピードまで速くなったのは驚きです。PowerBook のGPUを有効利用してくれているのでしょうか。

iWork:
以前のアップデートでは、古い書類のレイアウトが崩れることがあったのですが、今回はいまのところそのようなことも無く、順等なアップデートになっていると思いました。

iLife:
付いてきましたが、まだ利用していません。

個別で買うことを考えるなら、間違いなくお得な商品です。

いろいろなソフトが入っているので、すべてを報告できませんが、OSのバージョンアップで動作速度が速くなりました。特にスリープ状態からからマウスをクリックすると、以前は2秒ぐらいマウスを動かしても無反応でしたが、今ではあっという間に使用することができます。
iLifeは使用機会がなく、私は無評価。iWorkはパスワード保護されたエクセルファイルが開けない事があったので評価☆3個です。仕事でエクセルを使う私には痛手となりました。
家族の評価はすこぶるよく、Wii-MUSICをこよなく愛する息子にいたっては、GarageBand'09へ乗り換えて、自分で好きな歌を三味線で引いて録音し、次に歌を歌って録音。効果音を曲に合わせて挿入し、CDに焼いて友達に配っています。まだ小学3年生なのに。
というわけで、家族の推薦によって星が一個追加されて☆4個となりました。
