クリエイティブコーディネーター。「啓子桂子」プロデューサー。1996年より、「Crazia」「婦人画報」「メイプル」などの女性誌でライター、コーディネーターとして活躍。衣食住ライフスタイル全般に精通し、小学館「和樂」の和樂贔屓の店・クラスアップ通販ページのセレクション・構成を担当。企業やショップの商品企画。コンサルティングやプロデュースにも定評があり、ホテル・ハイアットリージェンシー京都内のセレクトショップ「京」の商品セレクションも手がける。京都市在住のバッグデザイナー千原啓子と組み、スタイリッシュでありながら、どこか和を感じさせる“デザイン和もの”をコンセプトにした「啓子桂子」ブランドを展開中。「啓子桂子」のソフトトラベル和装バッグは2006年度のグッドデザイン賞を受賞。草月流師範。東京都在住(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

この本で紹介されている和の品々は、洋ものともしっくりなじみます。
ひとつひとつがとても美しいので、単独で飾っておきたいほど。

安く多く早く、の大量生産をよしとする時代に生きる私たちに
職人のワザとモノへの愛を思い出させてくれます。

ただ、掲載品がかならずしもたやすく入手できるワケではないので
手にとどく価格でもなかなか買えない、というジレンマに陥ってしまうのが
すこしだけ残念。逆にいえば、それだけ魅力のある商品が多いです。

今後はぜひ購入サイトもつくっていただければ、と期待しています。

日本の美しいモノばかり。
少し前までは海外の逸品にばかり目が行っていた私ですが、
改めて「日本だって、まだまだ捨てたもんじゃない！」と思えるモノばかりでした。
全く手の届かないモノではなく、ちょっと頑張れば手に入るモノというところも
ポイントでしょうか。
これからも、もっと職人技を紹介して欲しいですね。

タイトルにはあえてデザイン和ものと書かれているが
紹介されている物はどれも現代生活の中でしっくりと馴染みそうな逸品ばかり。
スタイルを選ばない良質なデザインが生活者の目線で選ばれている事が素晴しい。
