　前作、悪童日記の続編。前作では固有名詞は一切出てこなかったのだが、話は一転、（一見すると）かなり普通の小説になっていく。
　だが、前作の無駄な修飾や感性を一切排除した文体は続く。すごいことに、この話一切感情を地の文で書いてないんです。悲しいとか、嬉しいとか、誰々がどのように感じたかがまったく書いていない。それなのい、行動や言葉の端々から感情と残酷さが溢れ出てきて、ある意味とても刹那的なその感情に惹かれたりする。
　まぎれもない傑作。前作で衝撃のラストだったが、今作でのラストもさらに衝撃的。感情を押し殺した文体にこのラストはもはや神業としか言いようがない。　
　前作で双子のアイデンティティは揺らぐことはなかった。それは世界が双子の内部だけで完結していたからにほかならないから、明らかに同意の上で分離したふたり。その片割れ、リュカの生き方を是非見てください。
　続きもすぐ読まねば。

　「悪童日記」の続編。前作の最後で別れた双子の「ぼくら」。その片割れであるリュカが主人公となって、話は進められる。
　今作は前作のような日記形式ではなく、普通の、いささか普通すぎるような文章構造です。しかし、文体は前作のように無駄を省いた簡潔なもの。慣れないうちは読みにくいかもしれませんが、リズムをつかむとスラスラ読めます。内容は前作よりも重層的になっていて、読み応えもあります。
　気になるのが、リュカ（ＬＵＣＡＳ）とクラウス（ＣＬＡＵＳ）という双子の名前。アナグラムになっています。そして、主要な登場人物が全員、何かを失っている、あるいは失うということです。続編への物語の伏線であると思います。
　そして、最後の報告書の体裁をとったエピローグ。今まで語られてきたことと明らかな矛盾点があります。
　これは続編を読まなければ分かりません。完結編に期待です。
